The day was stressful, the mind is racing – and on top of that, cold feet that just won’t warm up. According to a recent study from 2025, this feeling is more than just "uncomfortable": people who are particularly prone to stress-related sleep disorders have consistently colder hands and feet than less susceptible individuals.
Poor sleep increases mortality risk by up to 34%
Sleep is much more than just rest. The latest meta-analysis from Semmelweis University in Budapest, published in GeroScience (2025), clearly shows how crucial the right amount of sleep is for our life expectancy. Based on data from 79 international studies with over 2.1 million participants, the researchers found that both too little and too much sleep increase the risk of dying earlier – sometimes significantly.
