1. Product Selection

In our online shop, you will find detailed information about our items and can select the best products for you:

  • For all our products, we strive to provide as much information as possible to make your purchase decision easier. This includes various product photos, sometimes even product videos, as well as a detailed description of materials, dimensions, and functionality.
  • If you are specifically looking for a pillow, the Pillow Advisor can help you find the best pillow for your sleeping habits in advance.

2. Ordering Process

If you want to order one or more of our products, you should proceed as follows:

  • Select Product: You can do this directly in the product detail view by clicking the button "ADD TO CART". Depending on the product, you may be asked to select color and size before the item is added to your cart.
  • Your Shopping Cart: A quick overview can be found at the top right in the header bar when you go to the shopping cart. From here, you can go to the shopping cart (button "VIEW CART") and check or change your selection. In the cart, you have the option to change the quantity per item or delete an item completely. You can also continue shopping at any time or, after checking the box "I agree to the terms and conditions," proceed to checkout to complete your purchase (button "PROCEED TO CHECKOUT").
  • Complete Order: You can place your order at any time as a guest (without registration) or with a one-time registration. In the following steps, you can select the billing address, delivery address, shipping method, and payment method. More information about this can be found in the next sections. At the end, you will receive an overview of all items to be ordered and the associated costs. You can return to the shopping cart at any time via “Shopping Cart” at the top left to make adjustments to your selection. The order and payment process can be canceled or aborted at any time. Only when you click the “Order with obligation to pay” button do you complete the paid order.
  • Benefits of Registration (instead of guest access): with a password-protected user account, you also have the convenience of easier ordering on future visits. In particular, as a registered user, you have the advantage of being able to view and retrieve past orders at any time and that you do not have to re-enter your address details for another order. So you can save a lot of time and avoid duplicate effort.

3. Redeeming Discount Codes

If you want to redeem a discount code in the online shop and receive the corresponding discount, you can redeem it at the checkout or during the checkout process. If you order on a desktop, the field for entering the discount code is always located on the right side of the screen under the shopping cart overview. If you order on a mobile device with your smartphone, you will see the redemption field in the "Payment" section above the selection of your payment option. Additionally, the field can be made visible at any time by expanding or displaying the "Show order summary" section at the top of the screen.

All our products are available at all times unless otherwise stated on the respective product page. If we encounter any problems delivering your order, we will inform you immediately and do everything possible to process the order as quickly as possible.

Unless another deadline is specified on the product page, delivery of goods within Germany takes 2-4 business days, and for international deliveries 2-8 business days after contract conclusion (or after your payment instruction if prepayment is agreed). If you have ordered items with different delivery times, we will ship the goods in one combined shipment unless we have agreed otherwise with you. In this case, the delivery time is determined by the item with the longest delivery time that you ordered.

For pre-orders, delivery times vary. Some of our products can be pre-ordered even if they are currently unavailable. As soon as the product is available again, it will be shipped to you immediately.

After we hand over the package to the shipping service provider, you will receive a tracking code by email, allowing you to track the status of your shipment at any time.

More details about payment:

  • Payment by credit card: You can pay securely and conveniently with your credit card. We accept MasterCard, Visa, and American Express. If you return one or more items to us, the value of the returned goods will be credited back to your credit card account. Your credit card data is transmitted encrypted via SSL. When paying by credit card, the charge to your credit card account occurs upon contract conclusion.
  • Payment by advance bank transfer: If you have chosen payment by advance bank transfer, we will send you an email with the order confirmation, including the bank details of Third of Life, along with the order confirmation you receive after completing your order. Please transfer the full invoice amount promptly and be sure to include your order number(s) in the payment reference. As soon as your payment has been received in our account, we will ship your order immediately. Depending on the banks involved, it may take 2-4 business days for the payment to reach us.
    If you return one or more items to us, the returned merchandise value minus return shipping costs of 5 EUR (depending on the product) will be refunded. Please be sure to fill out the enclosed return form legibly and include it with your return. Otherwise, we have no account details to which we can transfer the amount back.
  • Payment via PayPal: If you have chosen the simple and secure way of PayPal payment, you will be redirected directly to PayPal at the end of the ordering process.
    If you are already a PayPal customer, you can simply log in there with your user data and confirm the payment. If you are new to PayPal, you can open a PayPal account and then confirm the payment or continue as a guest and process the payment that way. Since payment confirmation can be received within a few minutes, your delivery can be shipped very quickly. If you return one or more items to us, the returned merchandise value will be credited back to your PayPal account.
  • Payment via Amazon Pay: With Amazon Pay, you can use the payment and shipping information stored in your Amazon account directly to shop quickly and securely. To do this, simply click the “Amazon Pay” button in your shopping cart or at checkout and then log in safely and quickly with your Amazon account. You can then use the stored payment and shipping information to complete your order. The purchase amount will then be conveniently charged by Amazon. Another advantage is the buyer protection offered by Amazon with the A-to-z Guarantee.
  • Payment via Sofort: With Sofort by Klarna, you can choose an easy-to-use and secure direct transfer method, which is TÜV tested and certified, based on proven online banking with PIN/TAN entry. You do not need to register or have a credit card. You only need your online account login data (access data/PIN) and a TAN number to confirm the transaction. If you select this payment method during checkout, a secure payment form from Sofort will open immediately after submitting your order, allowing you to safely complete the transfer via your online bank account. Our bank details, the transfer amount, and the purpose of payment are already pre-filled. You must first enter your bank code so that a secure connection with your bank can be established. Then you need to enter your username, PIN, and a TAN assigned by your bank. When you click “Continue” afterwards, the order process is complete. You will receive further information about the Sofort transfer process by email. The invoice amount will then be transferred immediately to our bank account, and your delivery can be shipped very quickly. If you return one or more items to us in case of a return, the value of the returned goods will be refunded.

withdraw. Regardless, you have the option to return your order to us within 90 days of receipt for a return or exchange.  As of 27.03.2024, we no longer offer free return shipping. The return shipping costs currently amount to 5 EUR depending on the product. You can find the details about returns in the Returns section.


7. Shipping information for Swiss customers (VAT, customs & fees)

We ask our Swiss customers to please note the following before placing an order:

When importing into Switzerland, import turnover tax (Swiss VAT) and possibly customs fees apply.

  • Value Added Tax:We only show the net price. Swiss customs charge 8% Swiss VAT on import as well as possibly customs fees and postal handling fees (see below). These fees will be invoiced to you separately by customs and are due immediately upon delivery. More information about Swiss VAT can be found on the FEDERAL TAX ADMINISTRATION WEBSITE.
  • Customs fees: The amount of customs fees depends on the net value of the goods, the gross weight of the package (including packaging), and the type of goods. You can inquire about which customs fees apply to which product groups at the responsible customs district office (e.g., contact for the Basel customs district office: Email: kdbs.zentrale@ezv.admin.ch | Tel.: 061 287 11 11).
    If goods are returned, paid customs duties and Swiss VAT can be reclaimed at the customs office.

  • Postal handling fee: When importing into Switzerland, a postal handling fee is charged if customs duties or VAT exceed the exemption amount of 5 CHF. This postal handling fee is the charge the Swiss Post requires for processing customs formalities and amounts to 10 CHF per package.

Our partner Meineinkauf.ch:

Through MeinEinkauf.ch, private customers and companies with a residence or business address in Switzerland can shop from online retailers in Germany and have goods sent to their address in Switzerland.

As a customer of MeinEinkauf.ch, you will receive a @MeinEinkauf.ch email address. If you use this email address and purchase goods on invoice from MeinEinkauf GmbH (Germany) and pay for them, your purchase will be fully customs cleared and taxed by MeinEinkauf AG (Switzerland) and delivered directly to you in Switzerland. You will not pay any import duties or postal handling fees.
